PACKAGE: Serviio 2.1 - Synology NAS, with HW transcoding!

Hi there. After upgrade to DSM 5.0 its not working anymore on DS412+ . I uninstalled, resinstalled, tried Java 6, 7 from community packages. nu luck. Serviio appears to be running but I cannot connect to it. Pls help, its the best media server!.

I have exactly the problem, Serviio's status shows 'running' but I cannot connect either from browser or console. Both state: server is not running.

Synology DS 412+ and Serviio 1.4.

Is there any help available?

Then I tried some settings to change but nothing, my last action was to remove the new default shares (e.g. music, photo, ...) and now Serviio is alive, I can manage it via the android app (seviidroid) and I can access it via mediabrowser but the serviio web ui is not working. I'm not sure to remove these shares is the solution but it helps for me.

Anybody know if we/when patters will be giving us a 1.4.1 release ? The release note states something about a settings change to keep NAS drives from waking up too often - that'd be nice!!

Worked for me too !
Here what I did:
1) Uninstall Java Embedded and Serviio.
2) Empty shared direcrtories.
3) Re-install Java Embedded and Serviio.
4) Serviio is alive and re-configuring it with ServiiDroid Android app.

I can confirm that Serviio is fine on DSM 5.0. You just need to remove and reinstall Java first. Make sure you do this before attempting to update Serviio.
1.4.1.1 version is on my package repo now.

I seem to not be able to browse to the console from windows now.I have installed only the console on my pc and put -Dserviio.remoteHost=192.168.1.50 into the ServiioConsole.exe.vmoptions file.
'Sorry, the page you are looking for is not found.'

Installed Java SE Embedded 7 hopefully I am missing something glaringly obvious as at the moment I cannot upload my license into serviio itself. (Edit was able to via my Nexus 7)
Any ideas welcome.

So does Java SE Embedded 8 indeed work? I installed it but doesn't look like I can run the Web UI any longer (it just stays blank). I tried adding media from my laptop but that didn't work either. Is this an issue with the Java version or should I try something else?

Same issue here.

Just left mine for some time and then tried to access via media browser and was notified that I had to set a password first. Thought that was strange so I opened the console on my PC and noticed that all the settings have been wiped.

Check to see if there's a folder called /volume1/@appstore/pc5dczc_db_migration
If there is then your database is still intact - perhaps you attempted a Serviio upgrade immediately after a DSM upgrade but had not yet re-installed Java.
In this case stop the Serviio package and run the following commands:

  Code:

rm -r /volume1/@appstore/Serviio/library/db
cp -R /volume1/@appstore/pc5dczc_db_migration/db /volume1/@appstore/Serviio/library
rmdir /volume1/@appstore/pc5dczc_db_migration
chown -R serviio /volume1/@appstore/Serviio/library

Now start Serviio.

Please help on a strange behaviour of console. Here the env:
installed DSM 5.0 Update 1
Installed Java 8 from Oracle
Installed Serviio 1.4.1.2.0026
Installed Serviio Console 1.4beta-002

Server looks up and running
I start the console but I get the message "Sorry the page you are looking for is not found"
Tried to change the statement in /volume1/web/serviioweb/.htaccess from "php_value magic_quotes_gpc off" to "php_flag magic_quotes_gpc off" but nothing change
Deleting the .htaccess file from /volume1/web/serviioweb the console starts but I am not able to edit the folders in "library" tab: when I press "add local" come up the "add folder" panel with an home icon in the selection field, but I can not perform any operation (i.e. the home does not expand)

Any hint?

You should add the "add path" button to be able to update the library.

Desde que instale la version DSM 5.0, he notado tanto con la ultima version 7 como con la ultima version 8 de java, que el consumo de RAM es excesivo, llegando casi al 100% en un par de dias de funcionamiento continuo.

No he conseguido que se mantenja en unos niveles medios como en versiones anteriores del DSM.

A alguien mas le ha pasado, se puede solucionar?

Hello everyone

Since installing the DSM version 5.0, I've noticed with both the latest version 7 and with the lates version 8 of java, RAM consumption is excessive, reaching almost 100% in a couple of days of continuous operation.

I have not gotten that mantenja in average levels as in previous versions of the DSM.

Anyone else happened, you can fix?
