Bravia 2014 not playing sound on TS

Hi,

I have a BRAVIA KDL-50W828B, and I'm trying to play a live stream.

Taking a look at the logs I found this:

  Code:
2014-09-22 21:38:52,382 DEBUG [ServiioHttpService] Incoming request from /192.168.1.19:48585: GET /resource/1000000010001342/MEDIA_ITEM/AVC_TS_MP_HD_MPEG1_L3_ISO-0/ORIGINAL HTTP/1.1, headers = [getcontentFeatures.dlna.org: 1,Pragma: getIfoFileURI.dlna.org,transferMode.dlna.org: Streaming,X-AV-Physical-Unit-Info: pa="BRAVIA KDL-50W828B";,X-AV-Client-Info: av=5.0; cn="Sony Corporation"; mn="BRAVIA KDL-50W828B"; mv="1.7";,Host: 192.168.1.137:8895]]

So I added this line to the Sony Bravia (2013) profile:

  Code:
<MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/mpeg" name="AVC_TS_HD_24_AC3_ISO,AVC_TS_HD_50_AC3_ISO,AVC_TS_HD_60_AC3_ISO,AVC_TS_HD_EU_ISO">AVC_TS_MP_HD_MPEG1_L3_ISO</MediaFormatProfile>

Now, I'm able to see the video, but I can't play the audio. I've tried a few things in the profile.xml file, but to no result.

The codec in the stream is this:
MPEG Audio Layer 1/2/3(mpga)

Does anyone know if it's posiible to play the audio in this stream on my Bravia.

Thanks in advance

Re: Bravia 2014 not playing sound on TS

Could you provide detailed information about your file format not supported (see signature links, ffmpeg -i and MediaInfo tools result) ?

BRAVIA KDL-50W828B
Supported Codec for DLNA / USB device :
http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/14HE468111/ ... st.html#10

MPEG1L3 : not supported, should be transcoded probably.

Re: Bravia 2014 not playing sound on TS

Here it is:

ffmpeg -i:

  Code:
[mpegts @ 018BE840] max_analyze_duration 5000000 reached at 5015467 microseconds
Input #0, mpegts, from 'http://127.0.0.1:8902/tv.ts':
  Duration: N/A, start: 31677.332733, bitrate: 96 kb/s
  Program 1
    Stream #0:0[0x58]: Audio: mp3 ([3][0][0][0] / 0x0003), 44100 Hz, stereo, s16p, 96 kb/s
    Stream #0:1[0x59]: Video: h264 (High) ([27][0][0][0] / 0x001B), yuv420p, 1280x720 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 25 fps, 25 tbr, 90k tbn, 50 tbc

Mediainfo:
I couldn't get any information since I'm dealing with a stream, and Mediainfo seems to work only with files.

And this are the supported formats of my Bravia:

  Code:
http-get:*:image/jpeg:DLNA.ORG_PN=JPEG_LRG;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=8cf00000000000000000000000000000,

Re: Bravia 2014 not playing sound on TS

Try to edit the ./serviio/config/profiles.xml file on "id=sony2013" section

Add this line
<Matches container="mpegts" vCodec="h264" aCodec="mp3" />

after the third <video:
<Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetACodec="ac3" forceInheritance="true">
like this

  Code:
...
         <!-- Remux all other h264 video to MPEG-TS stream with ac3 audio transcoding -->
         <!-- Remux all other matroska/mpeg2video to MPEG-TS stream with ac3 audio transcoding -->
         <Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetACodec="ac3" forceInheritance="true">
            <Matches container="mpegts" vCodec="h264" aCodec="mp3" />
...

You have to restart serviio service (not server) after profiles.xml modification (or reboot pc).

Enable transcoding on serviio console.

Check on log that your file will be transcoded...

Well, I've made a couple of tests:

Playing the stream from my TV, it seems to start, but the creen goes to black. In the log I can see this:

  Code:

In both cases it seems to be transcoding, but in any case I can see anything in my TV.

Any ideas??

Re: Bravia 2014 not playing sound on TS

if your file was transcoded, you can find it on temporary folder (see serviio console for folder path).

Could you retry with modified profile and copy the temp file?
Post transcoded file information.

Whats happen if you add the transcoded file to librery (it should be delivered in native format)?

Could you edit the profiles.xml 2013 section like this ?

Set "xx_50_xx" mime-type in first position on "name" list

  Code:
      <MediaFormatProfiles>
         <!-- Rename native WMA formats to those supported by the tv -->
         <MediaFormatProfile mime-type="audio/x-ms-wma" name="WMABASE">WMA_BASE</MediaFormatProfile>

OK Nice.

Do you implement the both modifications or only the mime-type modification ?

Btw: could you try only the mime-type modification ?

Test 1/
<MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/mpeg" name="AVC_TS_HD_50_AC3_ISO,AVC_TS_HD_24_AC3_ISO,AVC_TS_HD_60_AC3_ISO,AVC_TS_HD_EU_ISO">AVC_TS_MP_HD_MPEG1_L3_ISO</MediaFormatProfile>

Test 2/
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=17634&p=94562#p94549

Thanks

Re: Bravia 2014 not playing sound on TS

Hi,

I tried only the mime-type modification.

I look for the transcoded file, but I didnt't find it in the "Transcoded files location" folder.

Regarding to the last test:
<MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/mpeg" name="AVC_TS_HD_50_AC3_ISO,AVC_TS_HD_24_AC3_ISO,AVC_TS_HD_60_AC3_ISO,AVC_TS_HD_EU_ISO">AVC_TS_MP_HD_MPEG1_L3_ISO</MediaFormatProfile>

It didn't work. Only video was delivered to the TV, not audio.

Re: Bravia 2014 not playing sound on TS

Hi, I'm having the same problem and (probably) i have done sth wrong (modified the profiles.xml badly) ... Could you please tell me how to do that properly ?

Also sometimes after opening twitch vidoes i get the message (translated so may be a bit different) No server access. Check your server settings. And sometimes it opens but its a black screen all the time.
